Video Work

Hi there, I'm Matt.

I make things.

I’m a problem solver. That’s the most succinct summation of what I do as a creative professional. My passion for light, color, performance, and rhythm are the tools I use as a director, cinematographer, and editor. My drive and attention to detail mean that I can harness these passions to get things done.
I’ve done this for nearly two decades now. I’ve worked on nearly every type of production. Sometimes that has meant jamming on the busy floor of ad agencies. Other times it’s meant working long days and nights on motion pictures. All of those experiences make their way into every facet of my work.

On Stage

Like many creatives in Film/Television I got my start in the theatre. During college though my career path took me primarily into film. More recently I've been able to reincorporate theatre work into my career.

In 2020, I wrote and directed a modified version of Orson Welles' VooDoo Macbeth. In 2021, I produced an original production for an emerging artist as part of Zeiders American Dream Theatre's Hatchery program. Later in 2021 I directed the premiere of Xandria Wylde's Hot Mess eXpress, also with Zeiders in Hampton Roads, Virginia.

Working with actors and technical artists absolutely informs the work I do in Film/Television. It gives me a unique perspective and skillset.

Works In Development

The one thing that has always held true for me as an artist is my need to make things and I love to make things with other people.

Currently, I am seeking production partners for an original thriller we're calling, "Til Death Do Us Part." Check out our lookbook and mood teaser.

If you have a project idea that you would like me to direct, please reach out. I would love to hear more about it.
